Present as part of an interview for The Athletic, former Manchester Untied manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a surprising revelation about Cristiano Ronaldo. Indeed, the Norwegian technician considers that despite his status as an undisputed football icon, the Portuguese star’s return to Old Trafford was not a real success.
“It was a very difficult decision to turn down and I felt we had to do it, but it didn’t work out, thus judged the former Red Devil. The latter, however, confirmed that the enthusiasm of Mancunian supporters for the comeback of the five-time Ballon d’Or on the banks of Irwell was there. “I felt like it was a good thing when he signed and the fans felt it against Newcastle.
