Tottenham has just lost one of its technical assets. The London club announced on Wednesday that Ivan Perisic had injured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. An injury contracted during training, without there having been contact with another player. For the midfielder, the rest of the season is compromised, he who will now have surgery.
On social networks, Tottenham therefore confirmed the sad news: “ Ivan (…) should be sidelined for the rest of the season“. Last year, Ivan Perisic was a key piece of the system put in place by Antonio Conte. This season, the thirty-four-year-old man was also in the good books of his coach, Ange Postegoclou, used more in a winger role.

At the end of the contract with the Spurs next June, Perisic perhaps played his last match last weekend with his current team, during a stunning success against Sheffield United (2-1), with two goals scored in the final minutes of added time .
