It’s a speech that has come up often since the start of the season. Whatever the final result, the reigning French champions seem, in fact, determined to reconnect with their public. A relationship which had largely cooled, particularly during last season. Present at a press conference after his team’s victory (2-0) against Borussia Dortmund, Luis Enrique also highlighted the contribution of the fans. “Our supporters are incredible whether we win or lose, they are always there singing”.
Comments also made by Vitinha, at the microphone of RMC Sport : “it’s decisive even when we go through bad periods, we know that the supporters are always there, we will need them this season”. To conclude, Manuel Ugarte, present in the mixed zone, got excited about the Parisian public: “the truth is that the supporters play a very important role because we feel when we play at home. They generate a mentality which always makes matches at the Parc des Princes very difficult for our opponents. It’s extraordinary. (…) When you are really focused, you can still hear them and it’s incredible, you feel it and it’s like an injection of energy”. The Park will appreciate it.
