Let it go. Nemanja Radonjic will never come back again. This summer, Olympique de Marseille finally got rid of the Serbian. Recruited in August 2018 for around 10 million euros, the former Red Star Belgrade player was not really satisfactory. He therefore increased the loans. In the 2021 winter transfer window, he was sent to Germany to Hertha Berlin. Despite 1 goal and 2 assists, he failed to win, having only played 12 games. Six months later, Pablo Longoria placed him at Benfica. Once again, the happiness was not in the loan. In Portugal, Radonjic only appeared on 9 occasions. He was not decisive (0 goals and assists). The following season, he found a way out in Italy, where he had already played in the past (Empoli, AS Roma). In fact, Torino welcomed him in the form of a loan with an option to buy. He quickly found his feet by scoring a series of goals. The Piedmontese club was over the moon. The transalpine press was won over. We said to ourselves that “Rado” was finally going to be relaunched. But the rest of the season was more complicated. Less effective, he attracted the wrath of his trainer Ivan Duric.

All this did not necessarily worry OM since the purchase option included (2 million euros) in its loan became obligatory. The native of Beograd therefore left Marseille permanently this summer for Torino. But the Italian press quickly indicated that the player under contract until 2026 could be sold during the summer transfer window. In the end, he stayed in Piedmont. And we can say for the moment that he made the right choice. Author of 4 matches before the September break, including one in the Italian Cup, Radonjic (2 starts, 2 appearances) scored a goal. It was last September 3 against Genoa. After two matches with the Serbian selection, he returned to the “Toro”. And he quickly found the target. Starting yesterday in the 3-0 victory against Salernitana, he was on fire. Indeed, he scored a goal in the 41st following a strike from the right. Then he did it again in the 50th. He could have ended the evening with a hat-trick but his goal was refused (58th). This Tuesday, he is praised on the other side of the Alps. There Gazzeta dello Sport gave him a 7.5 rating for his match. This is the best mark (Zapata had the same, editor’s note). For his part, The Corriere dello Sport gave him an 8. Everyone is talking about an excellent match from Radonjic, who is having more fun than ever away from OM.
