Gennaro Gattuso did not wait long before consoling himself over his non-appointment at the head of OL.

The Italian Gennaro Gattuso was close last week to taking control of OL. Ultimately, he was preferred to his compatriot Fabio Grosso. His close ties with agent Jorge Mendes and his reputation as a volcanic coach worked against him for this position.

Gattuso expected in the Gulf

However, the 2006 world champion should not wait long before finding a new mission. According to several consistent sources, he would even be very close to getting a new club. “Rino” is expected in Saudi Arabia.

The Al-Shabab club, current 13e in the ranking of the Saudi Pro League, intends to bet on him after parting ways with the Dutchman Marcel Keizer. Currently, it is the Argentinian Juan Brown who is acting as head of the first team.

At only 45 years old, Gattuso will discover his fifth different championship as a coach. He has already practiced in Italy, Switzerland, Greece and Spain. More or less successful experiences.
