Gianluigi Donnarumma has not progressed since his arrival at PSG. Worse, according to Ludovic Obraniak, the Italian would even handicap his team.

Last Friday, Gianluigi Donnarumma spent another complicated evening in goal for Paris Saint-Germain. The Italian goalkeeper, who is already the subject of much criticism in Italy, conceded three goals against OGC Nice.

Ludovic Obraniak clearly questions the level of play of Parisian number 99. “There is a philosophy of play which is instilled by the new coach, and this philosophy of play, apparently, wants us to start from behind on every restart. Now, it hasn’t escaped anyone’s notice, until proven otherwise, Gianluigi Donnarumma, with his feet, it’s a little more difficult. He handicaps his team on all action starts”analyzed the sports consultant on The TV Team.

This season, Gianluigi Donnarumma could once again find himself in competition with Keylor Navas. “Navas is a goalkeeper who is also good on his line, and much better in the kicking game,” recalls Obraniak. Pushed out last season and loaned for six months to Nottingham Forest, the Costa Rican preferred to stay at the Parc des Princes during the summer transfer window. The transalpine goalkeeper was nevertheless assured by Luis Campos to start as a starter while the Portuguese advisor was credited with the desire to put him in competition.
