Pau Lopez, OM’s Spanish international goalkeeper, mentioned the existence of unease with the Olympian manager, Marcelino.

While Olympique de Marseille conceded a third draw in Ligue 1 against Toulouse (0-0), this Sunday at the Vélodrome, the Phocéens goalkeeper, Pau Lopez, made a surprising confession to say the least about his trainer. The Spaniard spoke of a lack of understanding between the Marseille team and the Iberian technician, Marcelino.

“We don’t understand anything”

“Maybe we lack a better understanding of what the coach is asking of us. Especially defensively but also offensively”, declared the former member of AS Rome. Statements which greatly worry Daniel Riolo, nostalgic for his predecessor, Igor Tudor.

“I am very worried about OM, said the editorialist for RMC. At the end of last season, I fought against people who couldn’t stand Tudor anymore, I would like to talk to those people again… At least, with what Tudor offered, this slightly crazy total football with taking risks, I really enjoyed it. Now I’m bored and I don’t see a way out. I thought Marcelino was a little more flexible, but he is not. And if there is already a player who starts to say ‘we don’t understand well’, that basically means ‘we don’t understand anything’. (…) There is nothing that fits, this 4-4-2 doesn’t rhyme with anything. »thus released Riolo.
