Heavy accusation against Benzema

Slightly injured, Karim Benzema is finally out of Al-Ittihad’s first match in the Asian Champions League, this Monday evening against an Uzbek team.

After having played 10 matches with Al-Ittihad, in the Arab Champion Clubs’ Cup then in the Saudi Arabian championship (for six goals in total), Karim Benzema misses his team’s first match in the Asian Champions League, Monday evening in Jeddah , against AGMK, a modest team from Uzbekistan which came out of qualifying (victory in the play-offs against Al-Arabi, Marco Verratti’s new club in Qatar).

“KB9” obviously suffered a slight injury during training the day before the match and cannot hold his place with the reigning Saudi Arabian champion. N’Golo Kanté and Fabinho start the game in this team led by Nuno Espirito Santo, who can count on his Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah.

The 2022 Ballon d’Or should be reinstated for Al-Ittihad’s next matches and in particular the second Asian LDC match, on October 2, against Sepahan, in Iran.
