Olympique Lyonnais welcomes Le Havre for the 5th day of Ligue 1, this Sunday (8:45 p.m.). Here is the expected line-up for the Rhone club.
All eyes will be on Groupama Stadium this Sunday evening for Fabio Grosso’s big debut on the Olympique Lyonnais bench. The young Italian technician was inducted during this international break to take over from Laurent Blanc. A former player with the Lyon club, Grosso will arrive this Monday. The interim will be provided this Sunday by Jean-François Vulliez, former director of Blanc’s deputy academy, assisted by Sonny Anderson and Jérémie Brechet. Eighteenth and bottom of Ligue 1, the Rhone club must react very quickly.
This will require a result against a Le Havre team that has been quite confusing since the start of the season. The promoted player will start this meeting in 13th place, proof of his ability to surprise teams who do not expect him at this level. OL will therefore have to be extra vigilant against the Norman club, who will seek to counter with great effectiveness.
OL lineup: still absentees, a very important return
For this transition match, OL should rely on a 4-3-3 formation, with the return of captain Alexandre Lacazette in the middle. The Lyon striker will be supported by a fairly free Rayan Cherki as an eccentric leader, and summer recruit Ernest Nuamah, very fit for his debut with OL against PSG before the break. Grosso will, however, have to do without several notable elements of the squad since Lovren, Henrique and Kadewere are all out of this match.
The expected composition of Lyon : Lopes – Mata, Caleta-Car, Diomandé, Tagliafico – Caqueret, Akouokou, Tolisso – Nuamah, Lacazette (c), Cherki.
