The famous RMC Sport columnist was very harsh towards PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Paris conceded its very first setback of the year on Friday evening. The French champion was dominated by Nice on home soil (2-3). A hitch for which Gianluigi Donnarumma is partly responsible. The last rampart once again showed himself to be very feverish on his line.

“Donnarumma has the stamp of looseness”

The 2021 European champion was not spared from criticism at the final whistle. And the one who was the most virulent against him was Daniel Riolo. During the After Foot show, the RMC columnist indicated that Paris made a huge mistake this summer by keeping Donnarumma in its squad.

“Donnarumma, he hasn’t been there long, but he was marked by what caused a lot of harm to PSG: the losers’ stamp, he judged. He took it on the forehead the night of the match in Madrid and he couldn’t get it off. When we said at the end of the season that we had to change everything, we had to change him too because he has this buffer. And there are not many who have it anymore, there is Marquinhos too.”

Riolo continued by declaring that Donnarumma is no longer calm at all and that the passage of time is not helping his case. “Even with Italy, there are a lot of debates, he recalled. It is not transcendent. This is not the Donnarumma of 2021. There, he is big, but we have the impression that he is not big.”

Besides Riolo, Raymond Domenech, the former French coach, also joined the Transalpine on the L’Equipe channel: “Even when he tries to play long he can’t do it. He doesn’t take them out of the dry cleaners.” Same story with Ludovic Obraniak: “ He has lost all his confidence and we feel that his teammates are hesitant to play with him.”
