Thierry Henry defends Kylian Mbappé after his turbulent summer

Even Thierry Henry was convinced that Kylian Mbappé would leave PSG this summer. Finally, the French striker made the choice to respect his contract and stay in the French capital until 2024. A decision which made PSG cringe, due to the status of free player which could thus accompany Mbappé next summer. But for Thierry Henry, the 2018 world champion did nothing wrong.

“He had extended for two years when he was supposed to leave, what do you want? He didn’t do anything wrong, does he have the right to respect his contract? Yes, insisted the coach of the France Espoirs team in Rothen ignites on RMC. When a club wants to make you leave and you want to respect your contract, you leave. They do everything so that you can leave. Even I was convinced he was going to leave. But he never lacked respect for PSG or his teammates.
