In England, a name has been put forward for the possible succession of Jurgen Klopp at the end of the current season.
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy sees Roberto de Zerbi as the ideal successor to Jurgen Klopp on the Reds bench.
De Zerbi, the ideal coach to replace Klopp?
Murphy admits he has been impressed by De Zerbi’s work since arriving at Brighton at the start of last season. He told talkSPORT radio: “I have the answer, so I’m not worried about Klopp leaving. I think (Roberto) De Zerbi is perfect. He will be ready to take over. I think his team plays fantastic football. He’s a character and he’s gotten to know the Championship at Brighton, where he’s doing very well. I can’t think of a better candidate.”
“I think De Zerbi would be a very good solution. There is something in him. Having met him, I can say that he has a real presence. And I like the way his team plays”added the treble winner in 2001.
De Zerbi has already seen his name mentioned within a top English football leader. He was among the favorites to move to the Tottenham bench before Spurs opted for Ante Postecoglou.
