Brazil has appointed Carlo Ancelotti as coach but Fernando Diniz is doing quite well. Last example, the new victory of the Seleçao in Peru.

In June 2024, Carlo Ancelotti will become Brazil coach. The announcement was made on July 5 by the president of the Auriverde Federation (CBF). The Italian coach of Real Madrid, 64, is expected to start managing the five-time world champions at the Copa America (June 20 – July 14, 2024).

In the meantime, Fernando Diniz is acting as interim manager. And the beginnings are satisfactory for the coach of Fluminense, one of the famous clubs of Rio de Janeiro. Tuesday evening, Brazil won 1-0 in Peru, thanks to a headed goal from Marquinhos (corner taken by Neymar), for this qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup.

Fernando Diniz records a second success, in as many matches since taking office, after that obtained four days earlier against Bolivia (5-1).
