“Football has changed!”. Less than a year ago, the star striker of the French team, Kylian Mbappé, threatened to boycott marketing operations initiated by the French Football Federation, invoking his image rights. In a press conference which gave birth to his famous reply, the captain of the Blues agreed to reverse his decision, asking “to have a right to review our name”. A request supported by certain executives of the French locker room.

In a press release published this Monday, the French Football Federation (FFF) informed “that a new agreement with the players of the French team has been agreed (…) This new framework will allow a balanced and clear relationship with regard to the management of the image rights of the team and the players who compose and establish a concerted framework for the development and monitoring of the implementation of the Convention. Philippe Diallo, President of the French Football Federation, and all the players of the French team, are delighted that this Convention perfectly reflects a common state of mind, while respecting the individual rights of each person.. Everyone wins.
