We now know which players are likely to be missing from OM when the next African Cup of Nations takes place.

Marcelino is fixed. The OM coach, currently undefeated after four days of Ligue 1 (two wins for as many draws), knows which players will be missing in four months.

This weekend, the qualifications for the 2023 African Cup of Nations ended, the final phase of which will begin on January 13 in Ivory Coast.

If Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be available to the Marseille team, after the elimination of Gabon in front of Mauritaniajust like Geoffrey Kondogbia (Central African Republic), six players could be missing.

Iliman Ndiaye, Ismaïla Sarr and Pape Gueye (Senegal), Chancel Mbemba (Congo) and Amine Harit and Azzedine Ounahi (Morocco) have a good chance of being selected by their coach for the big continental meeting.

In total, a central defender, three midfielders and two attackers will be absent from Marseille for a period which will mainly depend on the results of their selection.

Marcelino and the OM management are now warned, sufficiently in advance, to assess and anticipate the consequences.
