It’s in a month that serious things will resume for the Blues. They will have the opportunity to validate their qualification, but will face the Netherlands in a crucial shock for the Oranje, on October 13 in Amsterdam.
The Dutch selection obtained its third victory in 4 away matches in Ireland (1-2) on Sunday evening, thanks to goals from Cody Gakpo (19th, sp) and Wout Weghorst (56th). The Netherlands now have 9 points, with a game in hand, tied with Greece, who won 5-0 against Gibraltar at the same time. Nothing is done in the race for the second sesame.

During the next international window, Gustavo Poyet’s Greeks will challenge the Irish, close to elimination, and could benefit from a poor result from the Dutch against the Blues. A Greece-Netherlands is then scheduled for October 16 and the Hellenic team will try to create the feat and then play their last match against France to the fullest, on November 21 in Athens.
