Author of two goals with OM (like Vitinha), Ismaïla Sarr was injured in the Senegalese selection and could miss several weeks of competition.

Ismaïla Sarr has withdrawn from Senegal’s two matches, against Rwanda this Saturday in the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations, and against Algeria next Tuesday in a friendly match. The OM winger is affected in the hamstrings, as indicated by the former president of AS Cannes Ziad Fakhri, present with the Lions of Teranga.

If he suffers a torn rear thigh, Sarr will be out for two to three weeks. A hard blow for Marcelino, the Phocéens coach, who gave the player recruited from Watford a string of starts on the right wing. The former Messin is the team’s top scorer with 2 goals (like Vitinha), but also gave two assists (one in Ligue 1, one in the Champions League).

The OM coach can launch the young 19-year-old winger François-Régis Mughe or switch Joaquin Correa to this side, while the Olympian team, very worrying in the collective expression, resumes the championship with a shock against Toulouse, Sunday next, before challenging Ajax and PSG the following week!
