Authors of two high-flying seasons with Newcastle, Bruno Guimaraes is in the sights of the biggest clubs in the world. Unanimously considered one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid had positioned themselves on him this summer. And while new offensives cannot be minimized in the coming months, the Magpies have a plan to repel the former OL’s courtiers.
Indeed, as reported The Telegraph, the club from the north of England wants to offer the Brazilian international (12 caps) one of the club’s biggest salaries to convince him to stay. The residents of St James Park are ready to offer him 140,000 euros per week. Emoluments which would make the 25-year-old player one of the highest paid at the club. While the two parties have been in discussions for several months, the discussions are going in the right direction according to the media from across the Channel which adds that a release clause of 116 million euros could also appear in the next lease from Guimaraes to Newcastle.
