Less than 48 hours after the success obtained at the Parc des Princes against Ireland in the middle of the week (2-0), the France team returned to training this Saturday to prepare for the friendly match scheduled against Germany, the host country of Euro 2024. But three days before the match against the team coached by Hansi Flick in Dortmund, Didier Deschamps’ group showed up at Clairefontaine with a reduced squad. Indeed, several players were missing: Mike Maignan, Théo Hernandez and Olivier Giroud.
The AC Milan goalkeeper remained in the treatment room to continue his recovery while his national and club teammate was exempt from the session due to a blow to the calf which did not turn out to be too serious. Finally and as we mentioned earlier this Saturday, Olivier Giroud returned to Milan and will be out against the Germans after being injured in the ankle against Ireland.
