The PSG president played a decisive role in finalizing the transfer of Randal Kolo Muani.

In the final hours of the transfer window, the transfer of Randal Kolo Muani to Paris Saint-Germain almost failed. Multiple twists and turns occurred in this matter and, ultimately, the French international left Eintracht Frankfurt for a transfer fee estimated at 75 million euros (+ 15 bonus).

The role of one man was particularly decisive in finalizing this deal: Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. According to The Parisian, the president of PSG made a decisive phone call to Markus Krösche, sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt, while he was on board a private jet. He then continued the negotiations in a restaurant in the 7th arrondissement of the capital. A sprint which allowed the club founded in 1970 to send the necessary documents to the LFP at 10:59 p.m.

The regional daily also reveals that Nasser Al-Khelaïfi would have played a key role in other issues in the Paris transfer window. It was he who would have announced the exit door directly to Neymar. Concerning Manuel Ugarte, who was coveted by Chelsea, the Qatari would have threatened the leaders of the Blues with reprisals so that they would withdraw from the negotiations. Finally, for Ousmane Dembélé, he would have kept a low profile, not hesitating to contact Joan Laporta again when his relations with the Barça leader were poor.
