Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has been a sensation since joining the club, delighting fans on the pitch and winning their hearts with each of his public appearances off the pitch.
Jude Bellingham already has a huge following at Real Madrid. The Wimbledon champions are no exception.
World number 1 tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, the current Wimbledon and US Open title-holder, is a notorious Real Madrid supporter and has clearly enjoyed the Englishman’s form. Alcaraz attended Real Madrid’s win over Elche in 2022 and has visited the dressing room before. Last month, he even admitted that “ all Madridians want to see Mbappé at Real Madrid”.
Following his straight-sets win over Alexander Zverev to advance to the semi-finals against Daniil Medvedev, Alcaraz emulated Bellingham’s signature celebration, opening his arms to the crowd. He later posted a tweet referencing the Beatles song “Hey Jude”, which was quickly co-opted by all Merengues.
Alcaraz is the darling of Spain following his remarkable start to his career, going up against Novak Djokovic in recent months at just 20 years old. It probably won’t be long before Bellingham, also 20, takes on a similar status to Alcaraz in the hearts of Madridistas.
