Currently coach of Castilla since 2019 and winner of the Youth League in 2020, the profile of the ex-legend of Real Madrid appeals to the leaders of Villarreal. The good relations between Raul and Jose Manuel Llaneza, the vice-president of the Yellow Submarine, could facilitate the operation. It remains to be seen whether the 46-year-old ex-player is potentially interested in this challenge.
