After several refusals for the coaching position, OL would have two new targets to replace Laurent Blanc.
There is very little doubt, Laurent Blanc should no longer be the coach of theOlympique Lyonnais after the international break. Good last in Ligue 1n with only one point in four matches, the Gones could well see a new coach land during this break.
Two foreign coaches targeted
The Rhone club already had a few names in mind, including Marcelo Gallardo, Paulo Fonseca, Christophe Galtier and more recently Graham Potter, who declined the Lyon offer on Thursday. Later in the day, The Team indicated thatOliver Glasner was also part of the Lyon leaders’ shortlist. The former Eintracht Frankfurt coach has been free since his contract ended at the end of last season, including winning the Europa League in 2022.
