Graham Potter had been tipped for a new managerial role after leaving Chelsea last season.
Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter is tipped to succeed Laurent Blanc, who is coming under increasing pressure at the Ligue 1 club after a sluggish start to the 2023-24 season. Potter has been out of work since being fired by the Blues after less than seven months in charge.
Lyon are currently in the red lantern after four days, with only one point on the clock.
According to The TeamPotter has held talks with club owner John Textor over a possible return to charge after leaving Chelsea in April. However, the Telegram has since said that after meeting with club officials the timing “wasn’t right” and Potter has since ruled out a move to Groupama Stadium.
The 38-year-old has already been linked with a transfer to France with Nice, who opted to sign Francesco Farioli. Potter will now continue to seek his next managerial job, looking to replicate the successes he enjoyed at Brighton and Hove Albion.
