While the 2023-2024 English championship officially resumed its rights on August 14 and Chelsea remain without a shirt sponsor. Since the end of its collaboration with “Three”, the London club has struggled to find a successor to the telecommunications company. This summer, the Blues approached several partners (Stake, Paramount +, Infinite Athlete) but their attempts were met with reluctance from the Premier League.
But according to the latest indiscretions of The Athletic, Chelsea is about to find a buyer. Indeed, the British media mentions that the leaders of Chelsea have started negotiations with the representatives of Riyadh Air owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is also the majority owner of Newcastle. Chelsea are considering signing a multi-year contract worth around £60m per year (just under €70m) with the Saudi airline to feature on the shirts of the men’s and women’s teams. It should be noted that the London management is negotiating in parallel with Kaiyun Sportspartners of Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
