Neymar finally gave in to the Saudi sirens. If his priority was to return to Barça, or failing that to a big European club, the Brazilian playmaker finally had to resolve to go into exile in Saudi Arabia to leave Paris, where he had become persona non grata.
And if some voices were raised in Brazil to regret his choice, Leonardo validated the choice of his compatriot. “This movement that is happening in Saudi Arabia, it is normal that it is still unknown. But it’s not just Neymar who chose to go to Saudi Arabia. I’m not Neymar, but I went to Japan when I was 24. It could have been a very questionable choice and, for me, it was a wonderful thing”, thus confided the former sports director of PSG.
