It’s go again ! Like every season, Paris Saint-Germain will go in search of a first success in the Champions League. The path will be long and strewn with pitfalls. But it will be necessary to go through it to lift the famous cup with big ears as Manchester City did last season. Before getting there, the Ile-de-France residents will play the group stage. Since Friday, they know the names of their opponents. Placed in group F, the residents of the Parc des Princes will cross swords with Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Newcastle.

A difficult group where PSG is still the favorite. To lead this battle, Luis Enrique had to draw up the list of players selected to play in the C1. The Spaniard had to select a maximum of 25 players, including 2 goalkeepers and 8 players trained in France, including 4 at PSG. A good thing for Paris which has recruited several French elements. Unsurprisingly, the eleven Parisian summer recruits, namely Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Manuel Ugarte, Ousmane Dembélé, Randal Kolo Munani, Bradley Barcola, Arnau Tenas, Lucas Hernandez, Kang-In Lee, Cher Ndour and Gonçalo Ramos, are therefore well there.

Luis Enrique has decided

Same thing for Kylian Mbappé, who hosted the summer transfer window. On the other hand, there were questions concerning the elements deemed undesirable. Among them, Marco Verratti, Keylor Navas, Julian Draxler, who are pushed out, or Hugo Ekitike, who refused to sign at Eintracht Frankfurt, which slowed down the RKM file.

The doorman from Costa Rica is present in the list of Luis Enrique, just like Presnel Kimpembe, injured for a moment. On the other hand, the Parisian coach did not call on Marco Verratti, who could still leave the capital to join the Qatari championship or the Saudi league. The same for Hugo Ekitike, whom PSG wanted to get rid of, but who decided to stay in Paris despite interests in Germany and England. Julian Draxler and Layvin Kurzawa are also absent. Another surprise, temporary at least, the absence of Cher Ndour, who arrived from Benfica this summer, but who could be present in the B list.

The PSG list for the Champions League 23-24
