Loaned to FC Barcelona by Atlético de Madrid, João Félix had to make a big financial effort to achieve what he described as a “childhood dream”. But while an amount of € 6 million was mentioned, the Portuguese international would have given up more money than that. In Bola claims that in total, Félix agreed to sit on almost €17m.
The daily explains that Atlético paid him his salary until August and that Barça will pay him €400,000 in total until the end of the season. Paid up to 6 M€ per year, the Lusitanian loses around 5 M€ this season alone. Then, to let him go to Barça, the Madrid club demanded from his player that he extend for four years (until 2028) by agreeing to divide his emoluments by two. So instead of receiving €24 million until 2028, Félix will only receive €12 million.
