OL-Blanc: “Obligated to be content with it”

In search of a new coach to succeed Laurent Blanc, Olympique Lyonnais does not seduce Thiago Motta, who intends to stay in Bologna.

After a sluggish start to the season and a big slap received against Paris Saint-Germain (1-4), Olympique Lyonnais is already in crisis. The Rhone leaders are already thinking of separating from Laurent Blanc, and have in particular set two criteria for their quest for a next coach: this one must have a modern profile, and must be French-speaking.

Thiago Motta ticks both of these boxes, but the former PSG midfielder shouldn’t be the lucky one. France Bleu Paris has sounded out the entourage of the current Bologna coach, and he has no intention of leaving Italy to join OL this season. It would even be “impossible”, according to his relatives.
