Stade Rennais striker Amine Gouri will defend the colors of the Algerian national team.
We will not see Amine Gouiri with the jersey of the France A team. After having shone so much with the Bleuets (43 goals scored), the SRFC striker chose to play with Algeria at international level. The news, which leaked a few weeks ago, has just been confirmed by Djamel Belmadi.
Gouiri with Algeria in November?
The Algerian coach spoke on Tuesday in the mixed zone, before his troops’ match against Tanzania in the CAN qualifiers. “Administratively, it’s settled”he assured.
Gouiri has not been called up for the Greens matches in September. His debut with the double African champions could take place next November with the start of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Over the past five months, Algeria has secured the services of five players who belonged to the France U23 team, namely Amine Gouiri, Farès Chaibi, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Djaouen Hadjem and Houssem Aouar.
