Salary revised upwards for Haaland
The Norwegian striker’s current contract runs until 2027 and City are keen to extend it by 12 months and increase his salary. Talks have begun with agent Rafaela Pimenta over a new lease, The Sun reports.
City are set to increase their weekly base salary to €640,000 for the next five years. With the bonuses, the new deal would cross the €700,000 mark.
The news comes as Haaland scored his seventh hat-trick for City on Saturday in the win over Fulham. And it is the fifth in the league. He only needs seven more to equal the record, held by Sergio Aguero. And the latter totals 236 more matches in the English elite.
