On Friday, Getafe finalized the signing of Mason Greenwood from Manchester United. Since then, the English media have been scrutinizing the player.
The 21-year-old hasn’t played professional football since January 2022, after being arrested for rape and assault, although the charges were later dropped.
Manchester United recently confirmed their intention to release Greenwood from his contract following an internal investigation, although he has now joined Getafe on a season-long loan, rather than a permanent one.
Sport revealed details of Greenwood’s contract with Getafe, in which Man Utd are heavily involved. The Premier League club is thus covering a significant part of the Englishman’s salary and is also providing him with a translator, who will be available 24/7.
While at Getafe, Greenwood will be housed in a luxurious villa near the club’s training ground, which will earn him 9,000 euros per week.
