Representatives of Saudi Arabia have traveled to England in a final attempt to convince Liverpool to sell Mohamed Salah, according to a report.
Al-Ittihad, who are hoping to land the Egyptian star, had their £150million offer rejected by Liverpool last week. The prospect of a transfer of Salah to the Middle East this week is not completely ruled out, however, since the DailyMail reports that a delegation arrived in England on Saturday to continue negotiations with Liverpool.
Liverpool have made it clear they have no intention of selling Salah. Jurgen Klopp also said on Sunday that Salah is “our player and he wants to play here and insisted last week that the player is ” very committed » towards Liverpool. Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai meanwhile said the striker “wants to stay” at Anfield.
However, the Pro League club will test the resolve of the Reds, who could make a record bid of around £200m for the striker.
The Saudi delegation will discuss a possible deal with Liverpool before the Saudi transfer window closes on Thursday.
