After the international break, OM will have to negotiate three consecutive away matches under high tension. Their result could condition the Marseille season.

The end of September could be terrible for Olympique de Marseille… or not. The luck of the calendar offered Marcelino’s players three away games in a row against feared opponents.

Ajax-OM

For its debut in the Europa League, the formation of Marcelino will move on September 21 on the lawn of Ajax, team of the first hat in the draw for the group stage. This trip to Amsterdam for the first day will take place four days after OM-Toulouse (5th day of Ligue 1), resumption match after the international break.

Marseille players have the greatest interest in starting their European C3 campaign with a positive result.

Disgusted by the non-qualification in the Champions League, OM supporters hope to see their proteges go far in a competition which has seen the Provençal club reach the final three times (1999, 2004, 2018).

PSG-OM

Barely 72 hours after the trip to Amsterdam, OM will obviously have a lot to do on the lawn of the Parc des Princes, on the occasion of the poster for the 6th day of the Championship. The Classic leans, once again, in favor of PSG whose renewal promises.

A new coach (Luis Enrique) and a reinforced attack (Dembélé, Kolo Muani, Barcola, G. Ramos) in addition to Mbappé, the Marseillais will have something to be humble before this Ligue 1 shock.

Monaco-OM

And to end the infernal series, Valentin Rongier and his teammates will come face to face with the Monegasques at Louis-II on 1 October. OM will simply play against the leader of Ligue 1, very inspired after four days: three wins, a draw and 13 goals scored.

This match in the Principality, like the one played a week earlier in Paris, should provide answers on the potential of the Marseille team.

For now, Marcelino and his players give the impression of not having completed their break-in period. Which can be considered worrying.
