OM president Pablo Longoria deplored the attack on a family of supporters of the Marseille club last Friday in Nantes.

At the start of the 4th day of Ligue 1, Olympique de Marseille was hung on the lawn of FC Nantes (1-1) on Friday evening. A meeting marked by the aggression of a family of supporters of the Olympian club. The parents, accompanied by their 6-year-old son, were violently taken to task at La Beaujoire. The father suffered two heart attacks. Fortunately, his days are no longer in danger.

Passing through a press conference on Monday, Pablo Longoria did not hide his anger at this surge of violence. I learned the news on Saturday after the match, we made contact with the family. We gave them our support, confided the boss of OM. This is unacceptable, I believe that today’s society illustrates this and violence has no place. It is completely unacceptable. »

The Marseille team had already reacted on Sunday evening via a press release: “OM learned with dismay of the attack on Friday evening at the Beaujoire stadium by a family of blue and white supporters and strongly condemns these intolerable actions. Pending a response from the competent authorities, the club has already had the opportunity to show its support and solidarity directly to the family. »
