A former great defender of PSG expressed his astonishment at the comments made this weekend with Neymar.
Probably frustrated by the way his adventure at PSG ended, Neymar let loose in the Brazilian press. The Brazilian had rather disrespectful words towards his former employer, indicating “having lived” hell in France.
“Neymar is ungrateful”
Even if he is accustomed to sensational statements, “Ney” shocked with this release. And those who were most affected by his diatribe were the club’s alumni. A certain Bernard Mendy said he was amazed by what he heard. On the L’Equipe channel, the former Parisian (2000-2008) underlined the lack of esteem he had for the Brazilian: “He is an extraordinary player. But the man? What he says is unacceptable. He is ungrateful”.
Mendy is furious with Neymar and he is all the more so since he judges that the latter has not done everything to succeed in Paris: “We recruited him to be able to win the Champions League and we put him in the best conditions. There was certainly the story with the supporters. But there was only that. Afterwards, the player still had a questionable lifestyle. He was also injured half the time.
Speaking earlier on the Canal Football Club program, Christophe Jallet, another former PSG, had a similar speech: “At some point, we are judged to live up to what we have given. Neymar, he was not up to what he represented.
