Despite a final offer of almost 7 billion euros, Qatar did not convince the Glazer family to sell Manchester United to them. The sale would now be postponed to 2025, with an expected sum of 10 billion!
What if Manchester United were never bought by Qatar? Almost a year after the launch of the sale process, the Glazer family has still not agreed to sell the Mancunian club. British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe has visibly given up in the face of outbidding from Doha. Sheikh Jassim, commissioned by Emir Tamim ben Hamad Al Thani, made a final offer of 6 billion pounds, or nearly 7 billion euros.
Despite this historic proposal, American businessmen, completely hated by the public of Old Trafford for many years, are still not satisfied. They are five brothers and a sister to decide the fate of the Red Devils and some would still like to keep a role or shares in the twenty-time champion club of England, the 3rd most powerful club in the world (behind the two Spanish cadors).
The 10 billion reached?
As finance journalist Alex Miller points out, the Glazers have reportedly decided to take Man United off the market, with the idea of relaunching a new sale process in 2025 with more candidates. They would estimate that the situation will be more advantageous in two years, in order to claim between 7 and 10 billion pounds! American investment funds could enter the dance and definitively complete the dreams of Ratcliffe and Qatar.
Sources close to the Glazers believe the @ManUtd owners are set to hang on to the club for another two years, in order to see what market conditions look like in 2025… looking for a £7-£10billion sale https://t.co/HZzc5fhI83 @sportingintel
