Carlo Ancelotti has given his opinion on how many goals Jude Bellingham will score this season, after scoring the last-minute winner on Saturday.
Bellingham came to Real Madrid’s rescue on Saturday, scoring the 95th-minute winner against Getafe in front of a huge crowd at the new Santiago Bernabéu. The 20-year-old, who has now scored five goals in his first four La Liga outings, a record only equaled by Cristiano Ronaldo, is sure to add more to his tally this season.
In a press conference after the match, Ancelotti spoke, defining the Englishman’s possibilities in this new, decidedly more attacking role: “Bellingham can reach 15 goals, no problem. Last year he did it at Dortmund. He moves very well without the ball, that’s his greatest quality. He never gives up a ball to lose it. Breaking the lines when entering the box, that’s why he scores goals.
The young Englishman has made his mark in Madrid after leaving Dortmund at the start of the year. So far, he’s found the net against Athletic Bilbao, Almeria, Celta Vigo and Getafe, helping Los Blancos get off to a perfect La Liga start.
The latter have already acquired a five-point lead over their city rivals, Atlético de Madrid, even if Diego Simeone’s team have a game in hand.
