Inter chief executive Beppe Marotta has mocked Romelu Lukaku after the latter signed for Roma.

The Chelsea striker has joined Roma on loan for the upcoming season, having spent the past campaign with Inter on a similar deal. On the side of the eternal city, he finds his former coach José Mourinho.
Marotta said of the Belgian: “The transfer to Roma? I could not imagine it, but in our world it is normal to have situations which disappear and others which appear”.
While tackling his former protege, Marotta acknowledged that Lukaku’s presence with the Giallorossi is good news for Serie A. “The fact that he is coming back to Italy makes a championship that was in danger of losing its value even more interesting.”
Finally, Marotta also spoke about the Nerazzurro squad: “We are proud of the team we have, we think they are very strong”.
