C3 draw: Rennes was spared

On September 1, the draw for the group stage of the Europa League (C3, ex-UEFA Cup) took place.

Stade Rennais is fixed. The team coached by Bruno Genesio knows its opponents in the Europa League whose group stage draw took place this Friday around 1:30 p.m. in Monaco.

The Ligue 1 team will have to battle with the Spaniards of Villarreal, the Israelis of Maccabi Haifa and the Greeks of Panathinaikos, who fell OM in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

On paper, Stade Rennais has the means to get through this round, namely to finish in the top two of the standings and reach the round of 16.
