Barça concludes its transfer window with a big blow

After Joao Félix this Friday afternoon, FC Barcelona announced the arrival of Joao Cancelo in the last minutes of the transfer window.

The last day of the transfer window will have been marked by FC Barcelona, yet quite calm since the start of the summer with three recruits for 3.4 million euros. This Friday, the Catalan club first announced the arrival of Joao Félix in the form of a one-season loan without an option to buy, he has also extended with Atlético Madrid until 2029.

A few hours later, the Portuguese striker was joined by one of his compatriots who also bears the same first name. In the evening, the Blaugranas announced the signing of Joao Cancelo (29), who joins Catalonia on loan, also without a purchase option. These two transfers were made possible by the departures of Clément Lenglet (on loan to Aston Villa) and Ansu Fati (on loan to Brighton), which made it possible to reduce the club’s wage bill.
