This Thursday morning, Stade Rennais officially announced the signing of its new attacking midfielder.
The Bretons continue at the end of the transfer window. After Nemanja Matic, Ludovic Blas and Enzo Le Fée earlier this summer, Stade Rennais has just secured the services of a new midfielder. This is Fabian Rieder (21 years old). The Swiss arrives from the Young Boys of Bern for an operation estimated at 15 million euros.
Last season, in 43 games with the Swiss outfit, Rieder scored 9 goals and provided 11 assists. The international (4 selections) is now engaged with the SRFC until June 2027. Thus, the young player will experience his first adventure outside the Swiss borders. He will try to pass a new course.
From C1 to C3
Rieder played his last match with his now ex-club on Tuesday night, in the Champions League play-off against Maccabi Haifa. The neo-Rennes thus participated in the qualification of the Swiss for the final phase of the C1. In Brittany, he will therefore play in the Europa League with the Rouge et Noir.
“In Rennes, I will have the opportunity to meet very good players, I will evolve in a very strong technical group. The club wants to play the Europa League to the fullest, it’s a very interesting challenge.” believes the new recruit.
