Chelsea are the club that have won the most sales so far this summer, thanks to a mass exodus to Stamford Bridge.
After spending more than €600 million in his first season as owner, Todd Boehly was forced to sanction several sales at the start of the summer 2023 transfer window, including the likes of Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, who joined Arsenal and Manchester United respectively.
Havertz was sold to Mikel Arteta’s side for €75m, while Man Utd paid €64.2m for Mount, who had just one year left on his contract with Chelsea.
Mateo Kovacic (29.1 million euros to Manchester City), Kalidou Koulibaly (23 million euros to Al-Hilal), Christian Pulisic (20 million euros to AC Milan), Edouard Mendy (18 million euros Euros to Al-Ahli), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (€18.5m to AC Milan) and Ethan Ampadu (€8.1m to Leeds United) also left the Blues for a fee, while that goalkeeper Kepa joined Real Madrid on loan for a sum of one million euros.
In total, Chelsea have earned 253.9 million euros from their sales since the start of the summer, not counting the departures of Cesar Azpilicueta, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and N’Golo Kanté, who were transferred for free.
RB Leipzig are the second club to have generated the most revenue from their sales this summer, notably due to the high-profile departures of Josko Gvardiol, Dominik Szoboszlai and Christopher Nkunku.
