It looks increasingly likely that Ansu Fati will leave FC Barcelona in the final days of the transfer window.

The 20-year-old is said to be ready to leave despite being totally opposed to the idea at the start of the summer.

Chelsea and Tottenham appear to be leading the race for Fati, who is starting to come to terms with the reality that he won’t start at Barcelona this season. He is therefore ready to take up a new challenge, while PSG is also monitoring this file.

Xavi Hernandez doesn’t seem to be counting on Fati and, as Javi Miguel reports, he won’t stop the youngster from leaving if he decides to. But on one condition: that FC Barcelona makes a return possible.

It would be either a loan or a permanent departure, a buyout option to be included in the offer made to FC Barcelona.

Xavi clearly sees Fati as a player for the future, but he doesn’t see him as a short-term option. In this sense, a departure from Barcelona seems increasingly likely.
