It has been more than two and a half months since this transfer market opened its doors. Everyone had time to shop, sell some players, cut fat or bring young people into the first team. But a few hours before the closing of this transfer window, a lot of elements have still not found takers, including some big names, still international for the most part. They will quickly have to find a way out or risk staying in the stands for a few more weeks.
First, we think of all those undesirables that PSG have placed in their loft. If some like Abdou Diallo, Leandro Paredes and Renato Sanches have found takers, Georginio Wijnaldum, Julian Draxler or Édouard Michut are still there. Hugo Ekitike does not yet know what sauce he will be eaten, even if his departure for Eintracht Frankfurt is still relevant according to our information. Finally, Keylor Navas is a bit of a special case since he would like to go where the capital club would keep him just in case.
João Félix is still at an impasse
On the other side of the Pyrenees, the situation of João Félix is critical. Completely shelved, the one that cost €127 million in the summer of 2019 has also entered the sights of supporters. Barça would like to get him on loan but nothing has been settled yet… In Catalonia, some players have still not found a buyer, like Clément Lenglet for example. The latter has at least the chance to be courted, unlike an Eric Garcia, invited at the start.
On the side of the Premier League, Arsenal has achieved a very nice transfer window but is not completely satisfied. The fault in particular of Nuno Tavares, Cecric Soares and Nicolas Pépé. The Portuguese and the Ivorian are still there after failed loans to OM, Fulham and Nice last season. The former Marseillais still has a few courtiers, like Nottingham Forest. Still in London, Hugo Lloris stayed at Tottenham along with Davinson Sanchez, Sergio Reguilon, Tanguy Ndombélé and Bryan Gil. If the goalkeeper, followed by Roma, could finally occupy the position of lining Vicario, the other four will especially know the platform if a solution is not found.
AC Milan still has a lot of work to do
Chelsea, of course, failed to get rid of everyone. In addition to Romelu Lukaku whose loan to Roma is just waiting for its formalization, Mauricio Pochettino learned of the existence of Malang Sarr at a press conference. Like Callum Hudson-Odoi, the centre-back doesn’t even have a shirt number. He is not an undesirable but Marc Cucurella could well join Manchester United, which has a certain Mason Greenwood in its ranks. The latter will probably not go to Turkey or Saudi Arabia.
What about Harry Maguire too? Biggest transfer for a central defender in 2019 (87 M€), the former captain will not finally join West Ham but MU does not count on him either. He is still a starter with the Three Lions. Finally, AC Milan still has some problems with the presence of its workforce of Alexis Saelemaekers and Fodé Ballo-Touré, and especially Divock Origi and Mattia Caldara. If the first two cities will perhaps have a chance in the first team in the season, the last two may simply never be called up.
