Even before the end of the Champions League play-offs, the composition of the hats raises fears of a complicated draw for the capital club.
PSG and Lens will soon be fixed on his fate. Like the 30 other teams that will participate in the group stage of the Champions League. For the time being, only 26 teams are guaranteed to hear the little music of the C1. The dams which will end on Tuesday and Wednesday must distribute the last six sesames. And from Thursday, the draw for the group stage will determine the opponents of the Parisians and the Lensois.
Unsurprisingly, the Sang et Or, placed in hat 4 for their big comeback on the European scene, can expect a particularly complicated draw. Manchester City, Real Madrid and Inter Milan could thus be their three opponents in the group stage.
But PSG aren’t immune to a death squad either. As a consequence in particular of the presence of Newcastle, one of the new scarecrows of the Premier League, in hat 4. PSG can therefore inherit a group formed by Real Madrid (or Manchester United), Inter Milan ( or AC Milan) and Newcastle, which would augur a particularly complicated autumn for Luis Enrique’s men.
