Daniel Levy lives up to his reputation. This summer, the president of Tottenham did not let go of the piece against Bayern Munich concerning the Harry Kane file. After several proposals, the Germans have finally formulated a proposal that meets the expectations of Spurs bosses. The English striker, retained for several years, therefore flew to Bavaria against a check for around 110 million euros. It’s sold very well for an item that was supposed to be free in June 2024.
Ndombele has touches but…
This file finally closed, Levy has looked into the cases of several players from whom he wishes to separate. They are also seven to be placed on the list of transferable players. We thus find two tricolor players, namely Hugo Lloris and Tanguy Ndombele. For the first city, he made the rounds after more than ten years with Londoners. At the end of the contract in a year, the 36-year-old goalkeeper is looking for a new challenge.
Lazio were on the spot. But Maurizio Sarri ruined everything because he thought it was not necessary to recruit a new goalkeeper. This Monday, AS Roma positioned itself. For his part, Tanguy Ndombele has been approached by Turkish clubs, including Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe. The midfielder plans to stay at Spurs for the time being instead. But its leaders are hoping for a last-minute offensive. At a press conference, his coach, Ange Postecoglou, acknowledged that the Frenchy no longer necessarily enters the club’s plans.
Spurs hope to complete departures
“Tanguy is in a boat with a few other guys. He (Ndombele) is still training. He is working hard in training, but in midfield we are doing very well at the moment (…) We have five or six players more than we can have on our list. So all of these things depend on the decisions that people make, whether it’s a player or myself, and we have four or five of them that are in this boat. I’m sure this week things like that will sort themselves out. I think this week I expect a lot of those issues to be resolved.”
In addition to Lloris and Ndombele, Tottenham must also settle the case of Davinson Sanchez. Offered to several clubs in France, it is followed in particular by Rennes. Eric Dier, whose name is circulating in Fulham; Japhet Tanganga, Sergio Reguilon (targeted by MU) and Djed Spence are among the undesirables. Everyone still has a few days to find a new base. If not, they will fight for a place at Tottenham.
