OM completes €18m transfer

Olympique de Marseille have reached an agreement with Lazio Rome for the transfer of Mattéo Guendouzi.

While in the direction of arrivals, OM’s summer transfer window could be completed with the loan with option to buy Argentine striker Joaquin Correa and the dry transfer of Michael Murillo, 27-year-old Panamanian international defender who should land for about 3 million euros from Anderlecht, in the direction of departures, he will still have movement.

According to RMC Sport, OM and Lazio Rome have reached an agreement for the transfer of Mattéo Guendouzi for 18 million euros (bonus included). The Olympian club will also recover 10% of a capital gain on a future transfer of the former Gunner, who was at the end of the contract in June 2025. Only a few details would remain to be finalized before formalization.

Guendouzi will probably not play again with Marseille

Mattéo Guendouzi therefore most likely played his last match with the OM jersey on his back on Saturday, when Marcelino’s men won against Brest (2-0). Entering during the game, the French international was given a nice ovation from the Vélodrome, before a lap of honor at the final whistle in the form of a farewell to the Marseille public.
