First victory of the season for Lorient who offered the scalp of LOSC this Sunday (4-1), as part of the third day of Ligue 1.

For a first, it is successful. While still waiting for its first success since the start of the new league season, FC Lorient did not go into detail this Sunday against Lille (4-1, 3rd day). At home, the Hakes sank the Northerners who were much too soft defensively and who made several careless errors. Thanks to this success, Lorient moved from thirteenth to seventh place in the standings, one point ahead of its victim of the day (10th).

The Breton demonstration did not take long to get started and to help it, the defense and the Lille goalkeeper did their part. First on a short full axis raise from Chevalier for Miramon. Surprised by the ball and especially by an Abergel who trailed behind his back, the new northerner saw his opponent recover the ball and send it into the back of the net (1-0, 9th). A few seconds later, on the visitors’ relaunch, Doucouré intercepted to offer the 2-0 ball to a Ponceau who was quick to convert it (2-0, 10th).

Lille defense in agony

Stunned, the Mastiffs then saw their coach try to shake them up by leaving Miramon and Haraldsson in the 39th minute of play. Enough to reach the locker room without having conceded an additional goal. And even to register one, ten minutes after the resumption, work of David (2-1, 55th). A glimmer of hope then for Lille who ultimately did not believe it for long in the face of the new opposing boost.

The hour of play barely passed, the Hakes added two new pawns in the space of five minutes, thanks to Faivre (3-1, 62nd) and Le Goff (4-1, 67th). The spanking could even have been more painful if the goal of Kroupi Junior had not been refused for a minimal offside by the son of the former striker, also passed by Lorient, Eli Kroupi (67th). This great success confirmed, Lorient now seems to be on the right track. For Lille, on the other hand, the construction site (especially defensive) is still important. On September 3, the Lorient residents will travel to Le Havre while the Lille residents will host Montpellier.
