Lionel Messi scored his first-ever MLS goal on Friday night.
After rocking the nets in the Leagues Cup and the United States Cup, Lionel Messi unlocked his goals counter in MLS, on the night of Friday to Saturday, during Inter Miami’s victory over the New York Red Bulls (2-0).
Substitute at kick-off, the former Parisian scored his 11th goal in 9 appearances (in all competitions) in his new colors after a one-two with Benjamin Cremaschi (89th).

Inter Miami thus returns to victory in MLS after 11 games in a row without winning. The Florida franchise is therefore no longer last in the Eastern Conference.
